Olivia The Musical
Our musical is coming along well with students learning all the songs to be sung, the dances to be danced and now costuming and props coming on board.
Last week students in Year 5 & 6 were asked to design the image and text to be printed on the production t-shirts which all students will receive and wear on the night. We are keeping it simple this year. Kindergarten to Year 4 will wear black leggings or trousers and the production t-shirt.
All samples needed a little touching up before they could be sent to the printers to make them workable. The image chosen was drawn by Liam Mc (5Y) and Madison N (5B).
I have attached the original and the touched-up version which will appear on the t-shirts. It is clear, simple but communicating key items from the story.
Only the main cast will have a character costume. Some of these costumes will be repurposed from previous musicals and some will be purchased from St Vincent de Paul, Lifeline and Red Cross shops before being altered and adapted.
School Advisory Team – Agile Learning Spaces UPDATE
As you are aware we will be taking an extra Kindergarten class in 2021. The three Kindergarten and Year 1 classes all need to be accommodated in the short term. To do this we are using the Phase 1 of the Agile Learning Spaces project.
Phase 1 involves moving our administration area to the current library site with a more collaborative flexible layout which allows us to make entry to the site separated from the student population. We are really pleased with the way this will make our school a safer place for students.
Our library will be in storage for the duration of Term 4 while the new administration area is built. When that area is handed over admin will move in, and the work of recreating three learning spaces will be conducted over the Christmas holidays ready for the new school year.
The Catholic Schools Office plan for this work will be available soon for you to view. Stay tuned.
