May the Force Be With You

This week in Science Year 4 began our new unit “May the force be with you” with an exciting science experiment. Here is what Ben, Nick and Eli had to say:

“Firstly we predicted how fast different objects would hit the ground from the top of the school stairs. Then we collected all of the objects that we were going to drop and completed our investigation planner to document our experiment. For example; we dropped glue sticks, marbles, jenga blocks and foam dice. We discovered the jenga block fell the fastest and the feather dropped the slowest. When we came back into the classroom we looked back at our predictions and compared that to our results. We found that our experiment was looking at gravity and how all things are pulled to the earth.”
