Band, Choir and Musical News

From the Music Captains – Jorga C, Bella W and Kayla H.

There is a buzz around Stage 3 as the musical approaches. Years 5 and 6 have been busy designing and making costumes, props and painting backdrops. Rehearsals are in full swing with all classes learning songs, dances and of course our wonderful year 5 and 6 cast preparing with excited anticipation! So let us take you on a razzamatazztic journey back to the 1920’s for “Mystery at Magpie Manor”. Buy your tickets for the 13th and 14th of September.

Tickets are now on sale. Please check school stream for the link.

Please also look out for an email from classroom teachers and requirements for students to wear to the concourse.

Congratulations to all our school bands for a wonderful performance at the Father’s day breakfast. They are sounding more wonderful and confident with each performance.

Next Performances for the choirs and band will be at the St Thomas Art and Craft Show on Sunday 28th October. Details to follow.

Choir – From the Parish

The 2018 Diocesan Children’s Choir Games will be held on Sunday 21 October at the Catholic Parish of Lower North Shore. The games are for young singers of all ages from Year 2 to Year 12 who may be members of parish children’s choirs, school choirs or simply interested singers who don’t belong to any choir but just want to take part. Please send your RSVP to Lisa Lewis:  or call the parish office on 9958 8846. Places are limited, so bookings are essential. Registration is $5.00 per singer.

Students from our school choir who are attending should also cc: as they have chosen a special song to perform and I will need to let the conductor know how many singers will attend.
