Student Wellbeing

Student Wellbeing

We commit to providing a safe and supportive environment which nurtures the wellbeing of all students and staff in our community and hold firmly to the belief that they have a right to be safe, respected and valued in an inclusive environment. We know that when students are happy, they are more engaged with their learning.

The uniqueness of all individuals in the community is recognised and celebrated. Inspired by the charism of its founding order, the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Sacred Heart, at St Thomas we commit to love one another in a supportive community where the values of justice, hope, collaboration, compassion, citizenship and stewardship are integral to our Catholic culture.

St Thomas recognises and is committed to the special responsibility of the pastoral care and wellbeing of students. Wellbeing initiatives and pastoral care support is provided through Catholic Schools Broken Bay in areas such as anti-bullying, positive behaviours for learning, student counselling and child protection ranging from universal support for all students, to targeted interventions for students with complex social and emotional needs

Each member of the St. Thomas’ community is both a provider and recipient of Pastoral Care.

Colossians 3:12

Since God chose you to be the holy people He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, meekness and patience.
