Swimming Carnival

On Friday 6th December, students from years 1-5 attended our St Thomas Swimming carnival at a new venue, Ku-ring-gai aquatic centre at West Pymble.

We were blessed with some respite from the smoke and the new venue by all reports was a success!

We managed to fly through our program in record time thanks to the efficiency of our amazing parent, ex-student, and teacher volunteers. Thank you to anyone who volunteered their time at the carnival-once again, your assistance on these days is crucial to their success. It was also wonderful to see so many parents and grandparents up on the hill supporting our students on the day.

Congratulations to all students who participated on the day, whether it be to just attempt a 50m race for the first time, to aim for a PB or to attempt to win a ribbon! You should all be proud of your sporting spirit and excellent behavior on the day.

Also congratulations goes to our winning sport house, Stevens!

After collating our results from the day, a draft cluster team list has been collated-students in this list will be notified formally in term one via compass.

Thanks for another wonderful year of sport, and I’m looking forward to another year of sporting achievements at St Thomas in 2020!
