Welcome Party, Curriculum Notes and Extracurricular Activities

Dear Parents,

I would really like to thank all of the parents who were involved in the organisation for Saturday night’s welcome party. The atmosphere created by the decorations, lighting and music was great. The food was delicious and Kindergarten parents really seemed to enjoy themselves getting to know each other as well as meeting families in other grades.

Teachers and parents have commented on the value of the Meet & Greet meetings held last week. If you were unable to attend please make a time to see your child’s teacher over the next few weeks. You will also find each grade has now sent out their class Curriculum Note outlining what their grade will be doing this term. Teachers want to keep you informed so save it somewhere you can later refer to it if you are unsure of learning content and events.

There have been some misunderstandings about extracurricular activities offered by the school. These require the Director of Schools to approve and licence agreements to be produced to cover the use of learning space to meet our legal requirements under relevant legislation.

We try hard to meet the extensive requests for extra extracurricular activities but there is a limit to our offerings. Space and time are at premiums and school curriculum learning must come first.
