Year 5 Geography Projects

Year 5 were given the fantastic opportunity to learn more about their Geography projects (Adani Mine and the Northern Beaches Hospital) as Howard Smith came to talk with the class to share his insights and knowledge of these two controversial projects. The students were provided with facts, challenges, benefits and points of view for both projects and the students respectfully listened and took notes during the presentation. It was great to see the reaction of the students when they saw the location of the Adani Mine so close to our coast and The Great Barrier Reef as well as to learn the reason behind the Northern Beaches Hospital project (replacing the two hospitals of the Manly and Mona Vale areas).

We thank Mr. Howard for his time, his effort and his patience in responding to our questions. It was a rewarding experience as the students prepare for their filming sessions with Cope Street Crew.
